SIPTU Ambulance Professionals to submit proposals to Public Service Pay Commission

SIPTU Health representatives are in the final stages of preparing a submission for Ambulance Professionals to the Public Service Pay Commission.

SIPTU Health Division Organiser, Paul Bell, said: “Our comprehensive submission is aimed at addressing all issues relating to recruitment and retention of Ambulance Professionals across all grades. We are now following through on our strategy to ensure that Ambulance Professionals receive the recognition they deserve.

“SIPTU members secured the investment in 2016 to effectively resource the National Ambulance Service over the next five years. We believe that in order to recruit and retain Ambulance Professionals it is now time to examine their overall pay and conditions package so as to ensure that the National Ambulance Service can compete in a volatile labour market.”

A further communication to SIPTU Ambulance Professionals will be issued in due course.
